Union League, formerly known as Union League Cafe, celebrated last week with city leaders and New Haven’s business community to commemorate the completion of the first floor renovation of the historic Roger Sherman House, the residence of New Haven’s inaugural mayor from the 1700s. This initial phase saw the transformation of the lobby, dining room, lounge, and service areas, all while respecting historical integrity. The second phase including other floors, wine tasting room and the kitchen, is slated for completion in early 2026. Babbidge collaborated with client Alexander Clark, David Mancini and Union League Hospitality to realize this remarkable project. Congrats to the entire project team on making this milestone happen!
“We elevated each detail to return it to its original glory,” Clark said about the Beaux arts style architectural details in later additions to the early building.
