“Unconventional Thinking” written by Alyssa Giacobbe for New England Home Connecticut, Fall 2025 Issue features the design and construction team for the Perch & Hollow project. Babbidge Project Manager, Matt DiGiovanni, describes the project, its unique challenges, and careful collaboration that took place to build this sanctuary nestled in nature.
From the article, Tucked into the woods of North Haven, Conn., the 2,900-square-foot entertaining space/retreat would come to be called Perch & Hollow—a nod to its dramatic cantilevered upper level hovering above a lower level built into the side of a hill.
